Cold Air Intake
So I purchased the FFR cold air intake with my kit, but decided to use something else. As it turns out, the instructions with my crate LS3 engine were very specific:
The mass airflow sensor (MAF) needs to be located midway in at least a 6" section of straight pipe, that pipe need to be 4" OD, and the MAF needs to be at least 10" in front of the throttle body.
I couldn't figure out a way to accomplish all those things with the FFR cold air kit (dual 3" OD intakes), so I put one together with Spectre Performance mandrel bent tubing. I used some JB Weld to attach the MAF sensor mount.
