Water Pump
The water pump I got on my crate engine was probably a great water pump - but like everyone else with a GTM, it had to be swapped out for an older LS1 style pump. The photos here show it already installed on my engine.
Also, I decided to remove the OEM heater hose connections and replace them with 45 degree threaded brass fittings to help the heater hoses clear the chassis frame without kinking. I was a bit worried about tapping the holes with the appropriate thread size, but after a quick trip to Harbor Freight to buy an $11.99 set of pipe taps and about 15 minutes of work I was done!
